Your Cognac: Jean Martell – Reserve du Fondateur

30 August 2012 16 Comments

A reader send us a bottle of Jean Martell – Reserve du Fondateur 1694-1753 he bought at the Martell distillery (Cognac, France) in the mid 1980’s. Back than the Reserve du Fondateur was a limited adddition.

The Martell Reserve du Fondateur was released in 1982 and is one of the most sought-after limited edition cognacs for the quality of spirit rather than the fanciness of its packaging.  This limited edition celebrated the life of Jean Martell, who founded the house in his 21st year. The box contains limited edition stamps from Jersey, the island of his birth, and has been blended using cognacs dating back as far as 1906!

If you are interested, the owner is open to discuss selling this bottle, so please submit you interest below so we can bring the buyers and seller together!

Name of bottle: Jean Martell – Reserve du Fondateur

Written on labels: Bottle No. 1990
