Your Cognac: Delamain Tres Venerable

12 June 2012 One Comment

A reader owns a bottle of Delamain Tres Venerable from the early 1990s, who knows more information or tasting notes about this bottle?

Do you also want to know more about an old or rare Cognac bottle, its value, or would like to sell it? Submit your bottle!

Name of bottle: Delamain Tres Venerable

Written on labels: Selection Delamain, No. 24366, 80 Proof, 750 ml, Julius WIle Sons & Co. (importers), back of bottle has raised lettering.

Story from the owner: Purchased an old bottle at a mom and pop shop in Dallas complete with a tax strip, but no box. We estimated that it could not be newer than the early 1990s based on the existence of the tax strip. Importer was Julius Wile Sons & Co. The shop had other bottles from the 1990s. We bought a Camp Romain (Hennessy) single distillery bottle the same day, aw well as some old JW Dant bourbon with a United Distillers UPC code. The Delamain bears the number 24366. I realize that Tres Venerable was introduced in the late 1970s.

If from early 1990s, the juice in the bottle should be 1940s. For reference, my mother was born in 1945.

All seals and foils are intact. The tax stamp is intact. This is the real deal.

The owner is open to discuss selling this bottle, so please submit you interest below so we can bring the buyers and seller together!
