world-s-most-expensive-mince-pie-tast-of-christmasIf you’re sick of eating cheap mince pies from the supermarket, then we may have found the perfect mince pie for you! It will only set you back 3,500 GBP… A British chef made a mince pie stuffed with PX Sherry, Louis XIII Cognac, white truffle and foie gras… Those are the better Mince Pies…

Costing £3,500 a pie, the traditional Christmas snack is decorated in gold leaf and served with a scoop of brandy cream.

A double-glass of the awesome Louis XIII (which retails between £400-800 per single measure) is being served alongside this expensive mince pie.

Besides the standard ingredients, goji berries are added to the brandy and sherry-soaked fruit mix along with a spoonful of rare manuka honey.

Instead of beef suet, foie gras gives richness and moisture, while black truffle essence and white truffle balance the alcohol.

The mince pie was raffled off at Taste of Christmas with all proceeds going to Better Food Foundation, but should you wish to take the festive treats home, they are £21,000 for a box of six.
