The Martell Trunk by Pinel & Pinel (incl. video!)

The House of Martell, the oldest of the great cognac houses, has presented one of the most exceptional object ever created in the world of cognac, a unique trunk made in collaboration with Pinel & Pinel, the renowned French luxury malletier.

Recognized for having updated the language of trunk-makers with creativity and meticulous attention to detail, Pinel & Pinel have created a setting where cognac is the star.

True to the love of fine craftsmanship while adopting the innovations of the day, they have designed a mobile trunk-case which is the largest ever produced: an impressive 2,06 meters high, 2,20 meters wide and 0.70 meters deep. It captures both the essence of Martell and the philosophy of the art of cognac, skill, quality and patience.

After the design phase, ten craftsmen have built, assembled, fashioned and fitted this trunk for a total of almost a thousand man-hours. They have used the most precious materials: full-grain leathers, copper, silver plate, oak, crystal, linen, with skill and innovation, especially in the lighting, to produce something astonishing.

The treasure contained inside the Martell trunk will be revealed on May 17th.
