Meukow XO Grand Champagne

Meukow makes beautiful cognacs in beautiful bottles! The Meukow XO Grand Champagne XO is a well-balanced cognac. This Cognac is even better than the most XO cognacs from the big established brands like Remy Martin, Hennessy, Martell and Courvoisier.

Meukow Xpresso – Liqueur Cafe and Cognac Review

Some months ago we reported about the Meukow Xpresso, a liqueur made of Meukow VS Cognac and natural coffee aromas. Now we are able to tell you our opinion about this drink.
In contrast to the normal Meukow Cognacs this liqueur is bottled at 22% abv, which is much less than the 40% minimum of Cognac.

Meukow Celebrates its 150th Anniversary (1862-2012)

On 1 August 1862, Auguste-Christophe and Gustave Meukow created the cognac that bears their name. These two brothers had been sent by the Tsar Alexander II to ensure the supply of cognac to the Russian court. 150 years later, Meukow is one of the larger Cognac Trading houses.
The Maison Meukow changed hands a number of times until in 1979 Michel Coste acquired it.

Meukow Vanilla – Cognac with vanilla

The Meukow Vanilla is made of Meukow VS-Cognac and natural vanilla-extracts. The aroma’s are beautiful for a drink like this (it’s not a Cognac).
The good thing about this Meukow Vanilla are it’s soft and gentle tast, but also the masculinity of a Fine VS Cognac. Very Nice!

Meukow VS

Presented in a unique bottle decorated with a black panther, the Meukow VS is one of the most beautiful VS-bottles on the market!
Meukow VS Cognac offers much higher distinctive tasting qualities than the average VS.  Lots of tones of vanilla flavor due to the aging in oak barrels are noticeable.
This VS-Cognac is a lot softer in taste compared to the 90-proof Meukow VS that I described earlier on CognacFans.

Meukow VS – 90 Proof

This Meukow 90 proof cognac contains an higher alcohol content than most of the well-known cognacs. 5 percent/10 proof more!
To my knowledge this is one of the only VS quality Cognacs sold with such high alcohol content.
There are some very old vat-strength Cognacs and of course one of my favorites Cognacs the Daniel Bouju Royal 60% with an higher alcohol content.
