Although, I often recommend people to look around for buying a bottle of XO cognac. This XO is definitely not bad but you pay extra for the brand name. (+ € 40, -)

This XO is composed of 85% Grande Champagne and 15% of Petite Champagne. This blend contains Cognacs between 10 and 37 years old.

The tasting notes of the Remy Martin XO Excellence are:

The color: fiery mahogany brown.
The fragrance: spicy, fruity and floral.
The taste: soft in the mouth, perhaps too soft. Also a hint of herbs, fruits and flowers.
The after-taste: average time for an XO.
The origin: 85% 15% Grande Champagne and Petite Champagne.
The age: 10 to 37 years.
The price: around 100 or more dollars.
The price / quality ratio: a 7!
