Otard rebranded to Baron Otard
Otard did a major restyling and rebranding lately, the name has been changed from Otard to Baron Otard, also the bottle-design (See picture: left old, right new bottle) and blends changed.
Most shocking change in blend is the Otard VSOP Fine Champagne, the new Baron Otard is no 100% Fine Champagne Cognac anymore. Luckily the great taste didn’t changed very much. We will post the review of this new Cognac very soon!
Otard belongs to the Bacardi-Group, probably they wanted to get rid of the old Otard image, and made the whole name/branding/packaging more contemporary…
From Cognac Wiki:
Cognac Otard has renewed itself to become Baron Otard. In 1795, Baron Jean-Baptiste Otard acquired the only chateau in the town of Cognac. It boasted outstanding ageing conditions: the thickness of its walls and the nearby Charente River provided a constant temperature and ideal humidity levels. Our Cellar Master takes infinite care assembling the precious blends before laying them down in the cellars to ennoble them.
These natural ageing conditions are unique. Today as in the past, they endow BARON OTARD Cognacs with the rounded, supple qualities that characterise them, offering refined flavour of unrivalled richness.Baron Otard Cognacs:

Wow, this is really underwhelming. That Otard bottle is one of my all time favourite cognac bottles. I have a 1 L Otard VSOP and it’s a center piece for my collection.
The old bottle is pure elegance. Does the new one even have a proper cork stopper, or is that a cheap plastic screw top?
Sigh, and here I thought cognac was one of the few things that we could trust wouldn’t change to whimsical market forces.
The new one has got a proper cork stopper, luckily…
The stopper what you see on the photo is all light-plastic…
