Martell Chanteloup Perspective – Tasting notes

14 January 2012 2 Comments

The Martell Chanteloup Perspective is now official and we have some more information and tasting notes about it.

This new Martell product is specially made for China and for the travel retail (i.e. at Schiphol Airport).

Just like any other premium Martell Cognac, this Cognac has been made with lot’s of Borderies, but also with some awesome Grande Champagne, Petite Champagne and Fins Bois.

The Chanteloup is bottled in the same arched bottle as the Martell XO, but it is decorated a nice reference to a gate with the three hammers of Chateau de Chanteloup, Martell’s Chateau, close to the town of cognac.

This Cognac is supposedly to be sold for about $300,-

The review notes of the Martell Chanteloup Perspective are:

The colour: deep amber.
The nose: it reveals a full and rich fruit aroma of apricot flavor. Very complex.
The taste: first a little taste of honey, then black currant, rich fruit-like taste, and finally finishing with exotic fruit aroma.
The after taste: sweet long lasting complex aroma.
The origin: Borderies, Grande Champagne, Petite Champagne and Fins Bois.
The price: about $300,- in China and in Travel Retail.
