Jean Fillioux Star Gourmet

Founded in 1880 by Honoré Fillioux, the company is now run by his great-grand-son Pascal J. Fillioux.The vineyards lie in the heart of the Grande Champagne in the “golden triangle”: Verrières, Angeac-Champagne and Juillac-le-Coq.

This 25 hectare estate produces Cognacs of rare finesse, very expressive, complex flavor and matured for many long years in oak barrels.

According to Monique Fillioux the Star Gourmet harmonizes perfectly with treats as chocolate, candied fruit, walnuts, almonds and raisins.

The tasting notes of the Jean Fillioux Star Gourmet are:

The color: bright golden orange color.
The fragrance: fresh nose with dried apricot, tangerine flavors, floral hints.
The taste: The taste is similar to the smell, fresh and pure. Also a combination of rose, vanilla, cacao and oak.
The after-taste: long after-taste, which is sharp feel.
Age: 18 years matured, good for the XO designation.
The origin: 100% Grande Champagne Cognac.
Price: 53 euros.
