Grönstedts XO Noël 2011 – Exclusive Christmas Cognac
Grönstedts launched their annual Christmas Cognac, in Sweden called julcognac. It is the sixth consecutive year that Grönstedts makes a special blend for Christmas.
A blend of cognacs with an average age of 30 years mainly from the Grand Champagne and Petit Champagne districts.
The aromas of this XO Noël 2011 are described by the masterblender Stefan Mårtensson as dried fruit, toffee, almond, chocolate and maybe a little orange.
About 70% is made of Grönstedts “normal” XO, the rest is a remainder of the National Wedding 2010 (special edition Cognac for the royal Swedish wedding between Princess Victoria of Sweden and her fiancé Daniel Westling) and another half dozen eaux-de-vie.
