Grand Breuil XO

5 February 2011 No Comment

Like the previously tested Napoleon, the Grand Breuil XO is also a big success, unlike the Napoleon, the XO matured a lot longer (about 30 years) and is made of Petite and Grande Champagne Cognacs.

The carafe of the XO is one of the most beautiful in this segment, it feels really thick and solid.

Grand Breuil Cognac is like the previously described Monteru Single Brandy and Cognac Park also made by the Tessendier house.

The review notes of the Grand Breuil XO are:

Color: copper-gold.
The fragrance: fresh and full ripe Grande Champagne fragrance! A little citrus, flowers and some fruit.
The taste: fresh taste with a slight bite, with cedar wood, vanilla, citrus, some herbs, flowers and some sweet fruit. Very nice Fine Champagne Cognac.
The after-taste: a medium long after-taste.
The origin: Fine Champagne Cognac (with 70% Grande Champagne and Petite Champagne 30%)
The age: about 30 years.
The price: about 78 euros.
The price / quality ratio: 7.5. Fine Cognac XO, with a price that is well worth the quality.

On the right is a picture of Napoleon with Grand Grand Breuil Breuil XO, the Napoleon I had described earlier on the Dutch Cognac Review site.
