26 January 2010 No Comment

The cognac is being serviced at key airport locations frozen at -18ºC from a special Rémy Ice Boxx

Liquor supplier Rémy Cointreau Global Travel Retail has unveiled a special promotion whereby the best-selling Rémy Cointreau VSOP cognac is served to travellers frozen at -18ºC from a special Rémy Ice Boxx at key airport locations around the world.

First trialled three years ago, the Rémy Martin VSOP Frozen campaign is being rolled out at airports in Abu Dhabi, Argentina, Canada, Germany, Singapore (pictured), Turkey and the US in the run-up to the holiday season. More airport, ferry and border shops are due to host the promotion in 2010. The promotion includes tastings and standalone ice-themed displays as well as a Chill Sleeve gwp to keep the cognac chilled longer once removed from the freezer.

Rémy Cointreau Global Travel Retail marketing manager Laurent Cosson said: “The Rémy Ice Boxx is creating a real buzz in the stores as customers share a new tasting experience. Freezing the Rémy Martin VSOP enhances the aromatic smoothness of the cognac giving it an entirely different and very exciting profile. We are suggesting to consumers that they can enjoy Rémy Martin VSOP frozen, neat or with a selection of mixers and fruit juices.”
