Frapin VSOP – Grande Champagne

This beautiful VSOP Cognac is entirely made of Grande Champagne Cognacs coming of Frapin’s own vineyards.

This cognac is gentle, elegant and can easily measure up to many XO Cognacs.

The unique cognacs from Frapin are exclusively from the heart of the Grande Champagne (the best location of the cognac) which are classified as a Premier Grand Cru. No grapes are bought, they use only best selections from vineyards of their own in the Grand Champagne around of the Chateau Fontpinot. The possession with an area of over 300 hectares has been within the family for five centuries.

The tasting notes of the Frapin VSOP Grande Champagne are:

The color: golden amber.
The fragrance: floral, fruity with hints of vanilla.
The taste: well balanced with floral and fruity notes. Also honey and toasted hazelnuts recognizable.
The after-taste: fine but not particularly special.
The origin: 100% Grande Champagne.
The age: 8-10 years old.
The price: about € 45, -
The price / quality ratio: a 7 minus!
Conclusion: Very complete and tastefull Cognac, but a little bit pricey for what you get.
