Cognac Cocktail with Pear

The French Kings who came to Rheims for their coronations, received as gifts a pear and a glass of champagne. One of the most famous, Louis XIV, ennobled the grandfather of Jean-Baptiste Otard to the rank of “Baron James Otard”. The Noblesse cocktail is delicate: its pear flavours combined with those of cognac provide a taste of unequalled richness.

Ingredients:

                    • Tumbler Glass
                    • 50ml of BARON OTARD VSOP Cognac
                    • 15ml of Williams Pear eau-de-vie
                    • ½ pear
                    • 2 slices of lemon
                    • Mint leaves
Instructions how to make this Cognac Cocktail:

Place the lemon and pear at the bottom of the cocktail shaker. Add ice, then pour in the BARON OTARD VSOP Cognac and the pear eau-de-vie and place the mint on top.
Shake.
Filter twice before serving in a glass of crushed ice.
Garnish with thin slices of pear and mint leaves.
Stir before tasting.
