A reader found a Cognac in a basement I had never heard about; the Martell Reserve de Chanteloup. Does anyone have some information about this 100% Borderies Cognac?
It seems that this bottle was being sold at Christies for $480,-.

Your Cognac: Berry Bros 1928 Grande Champagne Cognac

A reader sent us a Cognac bottled by the independent bottler Berry Bros. This Cognac is from the 1928 harvest and the barrel landed in England in 1962, after 3 years, in 1965 it was being bottled. This Cognac must be about 37 years old.

Your Cognac: Marquis de St Maigrin VSOP

A reader sent us a bottle of Marquis de St Maigrin VSOP.
We couldn’t find much about this brand, what we know is that the producer was located in the beautiful Chateau de St. Maigran in Archiac, which is the Petite Champagne.
The bottle owned by the reader comes from the Bon Bois, the 5th Cru.

A reader submitted photo’s of an Denis Mounié Edovard VIII Cognac of 2,25 liters! About 30 years ago Denis Mounié stopped after a successful period which lasted about 150 years. Denis Mounié was being owned by Hine, Dom Benedictine and, in the end, Hennessy…
In1838 two vineyard owners, Justin Denis & Henri Mounié, decided to combine their strenght and started selling cognac under the name J. Denis, Henri Mounié & Co.

Another Rémy Martin 1724 – 1974 (250 year Anniversary)

Today a reader submitted a photo of an Grande Champagne Cognac specially blended by Rémy Martin for their 250th birthday in 1974.
The production was limited to 38.709 (this is our second on CognacFans!) individually numbered and sealed bottles so this Cognac is quite exceptional today. Each bottle came with an certificate and wooden box.

Your Cognac: Hennessy – Bras Armé

A reader submitted his “Jas Hennessy & Co. Bras Armé” bottle, this quality is nowadays known as *** or Very Special.
As is well known, Hennessy discontinued the *** denomination in the 1930s and subsequently introduced the Bras Armé quality. So this bottle is not older than 80 years.
