Expensive cupcake with Louis XIII Cognac

Targeting sweet-toothed high rollers, one Las Vegas bakery is selling a $750 cupcake.
The aptly named Decadence D’Or, on the menu at The Palazzo hotel’s Sweet Surrender store, is crafted out of Venezuelan chocolate, Tahitian vanilla butter cream, 100-year-old cognac and gold leaf.
Apart from the ingredients – and indeed the price – another unique feature is its fancy fleur-de-lis shape.

If you’re sick of eating cheap mince pies from the supermarket, then we may have found the perfect mince pie for you! It will only set you back 3,500 GBP… A British chef made a mince pie stuffed with PX Sherry, Louis XIII Cognac, white truffle and foie gras… Those are the better Mince Pies…

Tartare of scallops, fleur de sel, and basil dressing with frozen VSOP Cognac

On Cognac.com we found a very interesting recipe combining our favorite shellfish Scallops with our favorite drink, Cognac! 
As the recipe advises to serve frozen Cognac, I suggest to use VSOP Cognac. This Cognac suits best with freezing in our opinion. Enjoy!

Brandy Butter – Recipe with Cognac

Brandy butter is delicious, probably the best butter for slathering over mince pies or Christmas pudding.
You can buy it in several varieties, like the Tesco Brandy Butter with Courvoisier VS or the Waitrose Brandy Butter with Rémy Martin.

Gravlax (Marinated Salmon) with Bache-Gabrielsen Cognac

Gravlax is used at most restaurants and Hotels all over Norway and around Europe. It can be used as an Appetizer or as a main course. Fresh salmon fillets are easy to find in grocery stores or fish market.

Cloudberry cream with Bache-Gabrielsen Cognac

Cloudberry cream is the most common dessert at Christmas-time in Norway, and…. it’s made with Cognac! Enjoy!
These wild orange yellow berries only groves in the mountains in the Northern part of Scandinavia.
They have a unique flavor, and are loaded with vitamin C.
It’s traditionally used for Jam and Dessert.
