The Merlet family, distillers since 1850 recently introduced the Merlet Brothers Blend, the first Cognac they bring with private label to the market, but made with know-how of five generations.
This Brothers Blend results from the marriage of several “Eaux-de-Vies” aged from 4 to 12 years old. Brothers Blend consists 80% of Fins Bois which is aged for 4-5 years, giving it a slightly ligther tone, 20% comes from Fine Champagne (Grande and Petite Champagne) and is aged for 12 years.

Unfortunately this project didn’t become publicly well known, so probably Hennessy decided not to produce it.
In search on the internet, I found the website of Jerome Blanchard with beautiful pictures of this special project and couldn’t resist to share it with our Cognac-Friends! Hope you like it…

To celebrate the success of Cognac Fans with our readers and visitors, we decided we would celebrate by giving away a free Moleskine Rémy Martin Diary 2012 and a Rémy Martin pen for one lucky winner.
Now to the contest part. Its not really a contest but we would definitely appreciate if you could do us a favor. We are pretty passionate about cognac not only because it tastes good but because of the quality and the history that surrounds cognac.
