Your Cognac: Martell Reserve de Chanteloup

A reader found a Cognac in a basement I had never heard about; the Martell Reserve de Chanteloup. Does anyone have some information about this 100% Borderies Cognac?
It seems that this bottle was being sold at Christies for $480,-.

Your Cognac: Berry Bros 1928 Grande Champagne Cognac

A reader sent us a Cognac bottled by the independent bottler Berry Bros. This Cognac is from the 1928 harvest and the barrel landed in England in 1962, after 3 years, in 1965 it was being bottled. This Cognac must be about 37 years old.

Altia buys Larsen from Rémy Martin

Rémy Cointreau, which bought six months ago cognacs Larsen, has reached an agreement with the Altia Scandinavian group to use the brand. Altia has a turnover of € 110 million in 2012 with 1,100 employees. It already has the cognac brand Renault purchased from Pernord Ricard in 2010 and Grönstedts.  Altia is the leading Finnish spirits corporation in the Nordic and Baltic countries, where Larsen traditionally positioned itself as a key Cognac brand. According to “Les Echos”, the sale would be € 53 million.

Hine 250 Anniversary Edition

Thomas Hine, an Englishman who was sent to the Cognac at an age of 16 by his father, rubbing the art of trading in Jarnac, is not the founder of the company which was established in 1763 on the banks of the Charente. Thomas has won the trust of founder James Delamain, and the heart of his daughter, Elizabeth. Since 1817, the name Hine  connects the house to his name.

Remy Martin VSOP Cannes Edition 2013

Rémy Cointreau has lined up the launch of a limited edition bottling of its Rémy Martin VSOP Cognac, to commemorate the Cannes Film Festival, one of the best festivals and a beautiful place. The bottle, which features the festival’s golden palm motif, will be available in the run-up to the festival, which started on 15 May.
