Hennessy Pure White Review

Hennessy Pure White is on the market for some while in the Caribbean (Bahamas, Antigua, Aruba, Jamaica) and some countries in Europe.
The bottle states that it is made from “the finest white grapes” and that it expresses the “qualities of the white wines from which it is produced.”  The classic white “Cognac” grapes: ugni blanc, folle blanche and colombard find their way into nearly all cognacs.  So, there is nothing special here….

Camus Ile de Ré – Fine Island Cognac

Probably one of the most eccentric Cognacs available, the Ile de Ré line of Camus Cognac.
The Ile de Ré line is so special because the grapes of the Cognacs are not from the mainland of the Cognac Region but from a small Island which is also part of the Cognac Appellation.

Meukow Vanilla – Cognac with vanilla

The Meukow Vanilla is made of Meukow VS-Cognac and natural vanilla-extracts. The aroma’s are beautiful for a drink like this (it’s not a Cognac).
The good thing about this Meukow Vanilla are it’s soft and gentle tast, but also the masculinity of a Fine VS Cognac. Very Nice!

Gautier XO Extra 1755

After tasting the superb Gautier Pinar del Rio, it’s time to review the Gautier XO Extra 1755!
This special Cognac is named “1755″ after the year that Maison Gautier was founded, it is created in homage to Louis Gautier, its founder.
Blends from various regions gives this XO its wonderful character : regions like Fins Bois for its body, Borderies for its mellowness, Petite and Grande Champagne for its finesse and finish.

Courvoisier Napoleon – Fine Champagne Cognac

After tasted almost all accessible Courvoisier Cognacs, I needed to taste the well known Napoleon as well!
This Napoleon differs from the Courvoisier XO, because it uses Fine Champagne Cognacs, which means that at least 50% of the cognac comes from the Grande Champagne region, the rest needs to be from the Petite Champagne region.

Cohiba Extra Cognac from Martell

Cigar Cognacs are great Cognacs to pair with Cigars, especially the heavier ones from Cuba,  these Cognacs are somewhat spicier and stronger in taste, so they do not disappear in terms of taste when paired with a heavy aromatic cigar.
Cohiba was back in 1999 one of the first, with the idea to make a special cigar spirit. They collaborate for some time with Bisquit, but after Bisquit was bought by Martell, it decided to bring the Bisquit Cohiba under the Martell label.

Rémy Martin 1738 Accord Royal

I regret to inform that Remy Martin’s new Cognac, 1738 Accord Royal, is not 273 years old. Would be quite old huh?!
The Rémy Martin 1738 Accord Royal is a Cognac made to fill up the gap between the VSOP and XO.
This Fine Champagne Cognac is blended from nearly 240 eaux-de-vies aged between 4 – 20 years in Limousin oak barrels.
